Jump Start

Dear Incoming 26-27 Kindergarten and Young 5s Families,

We couldn’t be more excited to welcome your family and begin the 2026–2027 school year together! We are thrilled to invite your child to participate in our FREE Kindergarten & Young 5s JumpStart Program.

JumpStart is a special three-day experience designed specifically for our newest Bulldogs as they prepare to begin school. The program will take place on August 17, 18, 19 from 9:00 AM–11:30 AM each day.

Please note the locations for this year’s JumpStart programs:

  • Kindergarten JumpStart will take place at North Creek Elementary
  • Young 5s JumpStart will take place at Pierce Lake Early Childhood Learning Center @ 275 N. Freer Road, Chelsea, MI 48118

Your child is invited because they will be entering Kindergarten or Young 5s for the 2026–2027 school year. This program is a wonderful opportunity for students to become comfortable, confident, and excited about starting school. All incoming Kindergarten and Young 5s students are welcome and encouraged to attend this FREE event.

Led by our dedicated staff, JumpStart will provide opportunities for students to:

  • Build relationships with teachers, staff, and classmates
  • Make new friends and begin developing a strong sense of belonging
  • Explore areas of the school together
  • Learn and practice daily school routines
  • Have fun while building excitement for the school year ahead

Our goal is for every child to begin the school year feeling connected, supported, and ready to learn and have fun.

To participate in JumpStart, your child must be fully registered through district enrollment.

If your child currently attends Young 5s during the 2025–2026 school year, you do not need to re-enroll them in the district. They are also encouraged and welcome to attend JumpStart as an incoming Kindergarten student.

Please note that transportation will not be provided for this event, so families will need to arrange drop-off and pick-up each day.
